1st (known) Logo
(1977-1987)
Nickname: "Evergreen Star"
Logo: On a yellow background, three green arrows that looks like leaves from an evergreen tree rise up from the center and arrange themselves counter-clockwise in a star formation. "oepbs" in a rounded orangish font zooms out, one letter at a time, forming a dip in the text. A white star appears in the center of the trees.
FX/Cheesy Factor: Early scanimation effects.
Music/Sounds: A synthesized flute sounder with an announcer saying "From the Oregon network.".
Availability: Extinct on TV.
Scare Factor: Minimal; the music's a little creepy.
2nd Logo
(1987-2000)

Logo: Against a gray/black gradient BG, we see a gray square in the center with an O in it that shines. Below it are the words "OREGON PUBLIC BROADCASTING", in bronze, which also shine.
FX: The shining.
Music/Sounds: A four-note synth choir tune (a la 1990 DiC) with a "twinkling" sound.
Availability: I think Rick Steves had a travel show on PBS around that time, and if so, that may be one show to find this logo. It also may have showed up on "Triumph of the Nerds" and "The Oregon Story".
Scare Factor: None.
3rd Logo
(2000-2005)
Description coming soon!
4th Logo
(2005-2007)
Nickname: "OPB Crescent"
Logo: We see a white crescent turning into place against a black BG, along with the words "OPB", also in white, zooming out slightly. "OREGON PUBLIC BROADCASTING" appears below.
FX: The crescent turning and letters zooming out.
Music/Sounds: A five-note cello tune.
Availability: Seen on "Rick Steves' Europe". When PBS shows "Mustard Pancakes" (yes, that's a real show!) on occasion, you can find the logo there, too.
Scare Factor: Low.
