FX: The "bouncing".
Music/Sounds: Usually the outro of the show, or the previous logo's audio may play over the logo (e.g. United Plankton Pictures and Snee-Oosh). Availability: Extinct on TV; retired as of May 2006. Check those tapes!
Scare Factor: None.

Was seen on all Nickelodeon programming run with split-screen credits on Nickelodeon until 2008, and now only seen after the regular credits of Nicktoons from El Tigre onwards. Scare Factor: None.
3rd Logo
(January 30, 2008- )
Logo: On a black background, we see the famous orange splat logo in 2D, then the background glows dark orange, and the splat transforms into an orange 3D CGI lightbulb, an obvious homage to the Nickelodeon Productions logo of 1996, which turns toward us. And as always, copyright info is shown below.
Variant: On the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards, as well as some shows, there's an extended version in which the lightbulb changes back to the splat logo.
FX: The splat transforming into a lightbulb, the glow in the BG.
Music/Sounds: If you've been reading these descriptions, you should know by now. It was silent on the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards, though.
Availability: Currently in use; appears after all split-screen credit airings from January 30, 2008 onwards. Split-screen showings of iCarly also has this logo intact.

(July 1990-2000)
Nickname: "The Ride View"

Availability: Rare; extinct on Nickelodeon and Noggin (except for TurboNick). Can be seen on almost any show recorded from Nickelodeon Studios in the early '90s like Nick Arcade, What Would You Do?, and Nickelodeon GUTS, among others. This can be also seen on any Nick Jr. show recorded from Nickelodeon Studios, including Gullah Gullah Island and Allegra's Window. Was last seen on Gullah Gullah Island on June 8, 2008 when it reran on Noggin. It is currently seen on TurboNick.
Scare Factor: None.
3rd Logo
(1991-2005)
Nickname: "Ride View II"
Logo: Same as the 2nd logo, but it's live action instead.

- There was a variation on Kenan & Kel, All That, Allegra's Window, and Legends of the Hidden Temple that showed the Nickelodeon

FX: Live action, so none at all.
Music/Sounds: Same as Logo 2.

Nickname: "The Housefly"
Logo: On a sky background with moving clouds, an orange housefly comes from the the top of the

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.
Availability: Only seen on Season 3 episodes of Legends Of The Hidden Temple.
Scare Factor: None, unless you're afraid of flies.

Logo: A 3-D version of the Nicktoons Network logo, an orange wireframe globe with a "splat" on the right and "NICKTOONS

The N
Background: The N was founded on April 1st, 2002, sharing its channel with Noggin (who changed its target demographic to preschoolers on the same day). On New Year's Eve 2007, the two split, with The N taking over the channel occupied by Nickelodeon GAS.
1st Logo

1st Logo
(2002-2007)
Logo: There are many variants, but they basically involve The N's "hand" logo and the word "original". Here is a (short) list of variants:
Variants:
- Box: White lines over a turquoise BG (meant to resemble a box) move around, as The N's logo of the time and "original" appear, at first revolving but settling in the back (the lines move for less than a second more), and when the lines stop, various images appear on the other sides of the box, settling on a Utah-like setting at the top, with the clouds in the sky moving rapidly via time-lapse.
- Fish: We see a close up of fish swimming. Two boxes appear, one having the "hand" logo, and another having "original" in it.
- Picket Fence: A white picket fence with The N's logo and "ORIGINAL" (in orange) on it appears in front of a blue sky. Various curvy patterns come from the logo and the text.
- Plate: A plate with The N's "hand" logo in red on it falls onto a table. "ORIGINAL" is also on the plate.
FX: The animation described above.
Music/Sounds: It varies based on the variant.
Availability: The first two variants can be seen on older Degrassi episodes (which air frequently due to the show's popularity), and the Plate variation appeared on The Best YearsDegrassi 101 marathons.
Scare Factor: Depends on the variant. (which still airs, albeit infrequently). The "Box" variation is currently appearing on The N's
2nd Logo
(2007- )

FX: The zoom, the network's logo forming.

Availability: Appears at the end of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes from 2007 on The N.
Scare Factor: None.

3rd Logo
(2007- )
Logo: On a gray background, two "n" figures (like in the network logo) draw themselves, one at the bottom left and one at the top. A silhouette of the network logo pops out at the center (without the text in it). Everything except the network logo silhouette disappears, which turns into the network logo as the text "original" writes itself below. Viacom-related copyright information appears below when the animation is finished.
FX: The animation.
Music/Sounds: A techno jingle.
Availability: Appears on About A Girl and Degrassi Minis on The N.
Scare Factor: None.
Noggin
1st Logo
(1999-2003)
Nickname: "Head Bulb"
Logo: On a blue BG, we see a Noggin logo with nothing on top. What appears to be a drill pops up on top of the logo, and is forced out, revealing it to be part of a lightbulb (the logo shuts its eye and grits its teeth as this happens). It turns upside down, lights up (turning the BG yellow), and smiles. The letters in the logo rearrange themselves to be right-side up, and "ORIGINAL" appears below.
FX: All of the animation.
Music/Sounds: A "screwing" sound as the lightbulb piece appears, and when the logo lights up, there is music that sounds "desert"-like, accompanied by various sound effects, which include the word "Noggin" being spoken in a somewhat nasal voice.
Availability: Extinct on TV; appeared on A Walk in Your Shoes (1999-2002 episodes), Sponk!, and the first season of Play With Me Sesame.
Scare Factor: None.
2nd Logo
(2003-2005)
Nickname: "Mentally Created Tree?"
Logo: Against a blue sky over a field of dirt, the sun is rising and we see the Noggin logo. A tree quickly grows on it, with fat little birds approaching and a banner with "ORIGINAL" on it appearing.
FX: Just cute animation.
Music/Sounds: A whistling tune.
Availability: Currently seen on Oobi re-runs on Noggin.
Scare Factor: None; it's harmless, unless you hate baby shows with a burning passion.
3rd Logo
(2005-2008)
Nickname: "Noggin Horn"
Logo: On a pattern background, we see the Noggin logo on the left with a curved tuba facing to the right on the head. A white ribbon reading "ORIGINAL" comes out of the tuba and birds are handling it with their feet.
FX: Same as the first one, but with less of the "cute"-ness.
Music/Sounds: A banjo strum then a high-pitched, 5-note flute tune.
Availability: This can only be seen, according to my knowledge, on re-runs of Jack's Big Music Show on Noggin, but it will recently be taken off the air on October 14, 2008 .
Scare Factor: Same as the 1st logo, plus the flute tune may get to some obnoxious babies.
