On a few old VHS tapes of mine, there is a still version with blue shading around the text and the Box/Filmstrips logo. These can be seen on films like Quiet Cool, Nightmare on Elm Street 3, and My Demon Lover. All of which I own. Don't know if they are on the Quiet Cool or NOES 3 DVDs and My Demon Lover is not on DVD at all. It can also be seen at the beginning of the Critters 2 trailer. I don't own the 1988 Hairspray, but I found a link where this logo claims to be from. The 1987 film, The Hidden was one of the first to include the Box/Filmstrips logo as it is on my 1988 Media VHS. The first indent may be weird, but the theme music from the movie on the YouTube video embedded here sounds like it came out of a beach movie from the 1960s, and it goes along well with the indent.
