Logo description by mr3uriousLogo capture by joecool85 Background: Possibly the predecessor of
Alpha Video.
1st (known) Logo
(1986?-Late '80s?)
Logo: We zoom in to a shot of a drawing of a
yellow sun-like object on an
orange background. Quarters of a screen displaying "NEW AGE VIDEO" (in
yellow) slide in from all sides, with "NEW AGE" in a tubular font and "VIDEO" in an 80's script font and in between two horizontal lines all in a black background. A small arc is displayed above "NEW AGE".
FX/SFX: The parts of the screen sliding in.
Cheesy Factor: Cheap, cheap, cheap animation! But this is expected from a low-budget company!
Music/Sounds: A dark, dreamy new age-style tune (hence the name of the company).
Availability: Rare. Seen on old tapes of public domain cartoons.
Scare Factor: Low to medium. The music is bound to put some people off.
2nd Logo
(Late '80s-Early '90s)
Logo: On a black background, we see the text "NEW AGE VIDEO" with a
light blue outline. Below that is the text "THE FINEST IN HOME VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT", in
light yellow.
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: Absolutely no animation whatsoever. At least the 1st one had
some effort put into it!
Music/Sounds: Same as logo 1.
Availability: See above.
Scare Factor: Low.
