Background: Media Blasters is a video company that distributes anime, Japanese cinema, grindhouse films, and hentai, among other genres. Its well-known subsidiaries among otaku are AnimeWorks, Kitty Films (which has since spun off into its own company) and Tokyo Shock.

1st (and possibly only) Logo
(2000- )
Media Blasters
Nicknames: "The Other Scary Space Logo", "Videos in Space", "VHS and DVD in Space!", "VHS and DVD Of Doom"

Logo: On a space background of the Milky Way galaxy, giant DVDs and VHS tapes fly at us in a horizontal direction. The camera turns around and goes inside one of the VHS tapes. A flash, and then a pink star reveals the words "MEDIA BLASTERS" in an ugly pink-ish font. The star gradually fades away, and a cheap space background fades in. A few seconds later, the text zooms in.in at lightning speed.

FX: Everything, but...

Cheesy Factor: For a logo made in 2000, this goes off the charts! The space backgrounds look like something done on Windows 95, and the giant tapes and DVDs don't even look realistic.

Music/Sounds: A droning synth chord with a few whooshes.

Availability: Common; appears on Media Blasters' DVD releases, most notably Invader Zim, Ruroni Kenshin, and Samurai Deeper Kyo, among others.

Scare Factor: High to NIGHTMARE; a lot of people who have seen this logo can't stand it. First-time viewers will be shocked by the gigantic DVDs and VHS tapes, text zooming in extremely fast and loud, creepy music. Might be a little less scary for those who are used to seeing it.
