Background: Magic Window was a worldwide distributor for Columbia Pictures' shows aimed to children.

Magic Window - CLG Wiki

Nicknames: "Running Kid", "The Colorful Outer Limits"

Logo: We see a cartoon kid (wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans) making a "Come on!" gesture to us, the viewers, with his hands, to follow him through a stone-made gate with fountains which takes to a large avenue flanked by trees (making us think we're in some kind of park). Then we see him crossing a bridge running through the avenue until he reaches a clearing. Just then, the background gradually changes (as star streaks appear) to a rainbow coloured enviroment with sparkles, as the camera moves backwards to show how that same enviroment shrinks and spins until forming a window (leaving the background in a grayish purple color). The kid jumps inside and continues running. A silhouette of him jumping has remained at the window, and finally some other figures of playful kids magically appear (with their stars and all that "magical" FX), holding their hands, forming a human chain, which is the finished logo of Magic Window, and the words "MAGIC WINDOW" suddenly appear above.

FX/Cheesy Factor: The logo is done using limited animation technique (like the Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the '60s): the animation of the kid running is looped, and so is the background. Besides, the colours sorrounding the magic window are maybe the gaudiest ones ever seen in a logo. And, with all the "magical" FX shown, why the words "MAGIC WINDOW" simply appear? Sheesh...

Music/Sounds: Starts with insects buzzing and birds screeching. When the kid starts running, a joyful tune played with pipes, other wind instruments, acoustic guitar and synth sounds for the magical FX. It kinda reminds me about the beginning of the song Pipes of Peace by Paul McCartney.

Availability: As far as I know, scarce. I've read it tends to be plastered on DVD, so expect to find it in old VHS featuring family material by Columbia.

Scare Factor: Low; the fact the kid is looking at us before the logo fades in can unnerve some viewers. Other than that, a cute logo (maybe way too cute).
