Logo captures by Eric S.
(1990-1992)
Background: This company was founded by cult filmmaker David Lynch and Mark Frost, creators and executive producers of "Twin Peaks".
Nickname: "The Rack Logo", "The Shocking Rack"
Logo: Looks like there's been a short circuit somewhere in this logo! Two racks (what I think they are) are placed one above the other. The top has the words LYNCH/FROST and the bottom has PRODUCTIONS. Meanwhile, electricity zaps, lights go on and off in different places, and two metallic circles appear randomly behind the racks. It's a madhouse, a madhouse!
FX: The electricity sizzling, the random lights switching on and off, and the circles appearing. This is all done in (purposely) crude stop-motion animation.
Music/Sounds: Just the electric zapping.
Availability: Retained on reruns of "Twin Peaks" on Chiller.
Scare Factor:
HighNightmare; to nightmare; the mishmash of effects and the sound of electricity sizzling, coming especially after Angelo Badalamenti's serene music, will give even the most jaded viewer nightmares (though this logo fits perfectly with the nature of Twin Peaks!).
