Background: Lightstorm Entertainment is the production company of writer/producer/director James Cameron.

(1994-)

Lightstorm Entertainment - CLG WikiLightstorm Entertainment

Nickname: "The Bowman"

Logo: On a black background, there is a structure of a person below. There are laser lights and firework-like explosions shooting upwards towards the camera. The logo zooms back slightly, then upwards and to the left. It eases out, revealing the logo to be a bowman, using a lightning bolt for an arrow. The logo shines. "LIGHTSTORM" flashes below the bowman. "ENTERTAINMENT" appears below.

Variant: The logo is still on Solaris.

FX/SFX: The lights, the camera, the company name appearing. Impressive for 1994.

Music/Sounds: A quiet, but powerful orchestrated fanfare. The are violin sounds throughout. When "ENTERTAINMENT" appears, there is a chime that reverberates for the duration. A portion of the theme shows up in the climax of True Lies (the movie on which this logo made its debut, along with the current 20th Century Fox logo).

Availability: Seen on films from Lightstorm Entertainment, most notably True Lies and Strange Days.

Scare Factor: Low to Medium, the dramatics and the lights could get to some (this would be especially horrible to a person with epilepsy!). None for the still version.

I saw the first Lightstorm Entertainment logo on the trailer for "True Lies" with a bowman made out of liquid. The print boxes for "The Abyss" and "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" had the Lightstorm Entertainment logo from 1989 to 1994, but the logo didn't appear until it debuted.
