Denver, Colorado
1st (known) Logo
(1983-1995)
Nickname: "The Skyline Photo"
Logo: We see a live-action shot of the downtown Denver skylines at dusk. Suddenly, the picture flips down against a black background, and it leaves "KRMA", in an Impact font, on the screen. The letters zoom a bit forward and tilt counter-clockwise a bit, with the letters showing what look like moving clouds. The text, "TELEVISION - Denver", colored sea green, appears below the logo, and we fade out.
FX: The picture flipping down, the letters zooming and tilting a bit. It's not the best animation, but it's okay.
Music: A synthesized note held down throughout, with some wind sounds in the background, as well as a "ricochet" sound.
Availability: If your local station has older prints of KRMA-produced shows, you're lucky. On the other hand, it may be extinct. (UPDATE! If PBS releases a DVD of "A House for All Seasons", it's possible this logo can be preserved.)
Scare Factor: Medium, due to the fast pace of the animation, and the music.
