Junior Home Video (1980s-1990s)

Nickname: "Big Letters and Little Ball"

Logo: On a white background, we see a blue "
J" fall from the top of the screen and bounces back up into the center of the screen. A red "r" does the same thing and a blue ball moves from the left towards the ''J'' and "bounces" off of it leaving a trail of short lines and moves beside the "r". "JUNIOR HOME VIDEO" slides in from the bottom-right of the screen and stops in the center.

FX: The blue ''J'' falling from the top of the screen and bouncing back up into the center, the red ''r'' doing the same thing, the blue ball moving from the left towards the ''J'' and bouncing off of it, the trail of short lines, the ''J'' moving beside the ''R'', ''JUNIOR HOME VIDEO'' sliding from the bottom-right of the screen and stopping in the center.

Cheesy Factor: No CGI at all. It looks like it was done in PowerPoint. And the ball "bouncing" is VERY crude animation.

Music/Sounds: Some childish music that sounds like it was recorded from a music box, followed by some "boing" noises when the letters and ball "bounce" and some children laughing as "JUNIOR HOME VIDEO" slides by.

Availability: Scarce; check your local library for tapes made by this company. In Canada, they are distributed by either Nova Home Video or Canadian Video Factory. Try looking for this logo on some Charlie Brown and Snoopy tapes from the period.

Scare Factor: None; this logo is very cute. The background music may be annoying to some viewers.
