his independent movie production and distribution company was founded in London in 1967 by David Hemmings and John Daly as a talent agency originally, but after Hemmings left the company in 1971, Daly purchased the rest of the company to refocuse it as a film studio. Derek Gibson later joined the company. A lot of Hemdale movies had the Orion logo instead, because Orion Pictures released many of Hemdale's films during the 1980s. But in 1995, Hemdale closed its doors after Epic Productions acquired the company and merged to Orion Pictures, and today, MGM hands the Hemdale library with the acquisition of Orion in 1998.

Is the 1988 Hemdale logo preserved on "Vampire's Kiss" DVD, cause I know they released it, but the copy on hulu.com doesn't have it, and instead has only the MGM logo, and no Hemdale logo.
