Hearst Entertainment - CLG WikiHearst Entertainment - CLG Wiki
Nicknames: "The Eagle", "The Sliding Eagle"

Logo: On a grainy white background, two blue wings (one from the left side with 5 feathers, and one on the right with 3 feathers) comes sliding toward each other. As it gets closer, the feathers make up a head of an eagle. after the feathers stop sliding, the ends of the feathers come sliding in. halfway, the ends reverse itself with the tips reversed sliding and then stops in place. The words "Hearst Entertainment" zoom in from the bottom.

Variants:
  • A version with a light blue background and dark blue eagle also exists.
  • There are generally videotaped and filmed variants of this logo.
  • There is also a variation where the logo is at warp speed for time, which doesn't help much.
  • Another variation existed by having the word "Television" below.
  • Sometimes "A Presentation of" would be seen over the logo.

FX: The feathers sliding, and the zooming of the text...

Cheesy Factor: ...which are rough. Also, the sliding seems to seems look like construction paper.

Music/Sounds: None, really. but on some King Features films, thanks to sloppy editing, the King Features "Crown Trail" music plays over this logo, and the animation plays much slower and choppier in a poor attempt to make the music blend in better.

Availability: Even though it's current, it's not too common. appears on a few TV movies from time to time. It also might appear on some Popeye specials. It also appears at the the end of Popular Mechanics for Kids, which is currently on DVD. It can often be seen on all the Lifetime networks.

Scare Factor: Minimal; the zooming and sliding could scare some, but when the King Features music plays over this logo, it could rise a bit.
