Background: Grindhouse Releasing is a film distribution company founded by Sage Stallone, the son of Sylvester Stallone, in 1996. They specialize in distributing old exploitation films (very violent and sexual films that often have little artistic merit and are more for shock value) from the '60s and '70s.
(1996- )
Note: This logo is based off those old bumpers seen in grindhouses (run-down theaters that showed exploitation films; very prevalent in the '60s and '70s).
Logo: Against a background with swirling, color-changing paint, eight copies of the words
in white, come in from all sides of the screen, meet in the center for a few seconds, and move out. Then, two copies of "presents" comes in from the left and right sides of the screen very quickly and meet in the center.
FX: The paint effects and moving words.
Cheesy Factor: The swirling paint effects are very '60s.
Music/Sounds: A '60s go go-like tune.
Availability: Seen on films distributed by the company, such as "Make Them Die Slowly", "Cannibal Holocaust", and "The Tough Ones".
Scare Factor: Minimal.
