1st Logo
(1980s-1995)

Gaumont Télévision

Nicknames
: "The Marble", "The Gray Marble", "The Ripples"

Logo: Via a blue "ripple" effect, the Gaumont Télévision logo appears, with "Gaumont" written in red in its corporate font, "Télévision" written in gray in a fancy sans serif font, and a thick gray line below it, all of which takes place against a dark gray marble BG. The logo "ripples" once, then fades to the blue rippling waves again.

FX: The "rippling".

Cheesy Factor: It looks too much like Lorimar Television's 3rd logo. Perhaps that is what inspired this logo?

Music/Sounds: A dreamy synth tune. Sometimes would have the ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on '80s and '90s TV shows produced by Gaumont, such as Highlander: The Series.

Scare Factor: Low, unless the rippling effects and dreamy music get to you.

2nd Logo
(1995-2001)

Nicknames
: "The Daisy", "Space Daisy", "Big, BIG! Daisy" Gaumont Télévision (1995)

Logo: On a space background, we see a extremely zoomed-in shot of a red daisy with "Gaumont" written inside, also in red. Under "Gaumont", "Télévision" is seen, in white.

FX: None; it's a still logo.

Cheesy Factor: "Télévision" is cheapily chryoned in.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on their shows produced from 1995 to 2001, such as Relic Hunter.

Scare Factor: None.
