Background: FremantleMedia (also known as Fremantle Corporation and Fremantle International), is the British-based media congolmerate founded (possibly) in 1971 which currently owns the All American, Goodson-Todman, and Reg Grundy libraries, among other formats. When It absorbed Pearson Television in 2001, it was renamed with the actual name. Actually,Currently, it'sFremantleMedia is a division of the RTL Group, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann AG.
1st Logo
(1972-1990)

Nicknames: "Glitter of Doom", "Space Lights", "Spacemantle"
Logo:
FX/Cheesy Factor: This logo has 70's written all over it, with the glittering lights and synth tune.
Music/Sounds: A synth tune that begins with a slow descending "UFO" sound, followed by this calm sweep at the end. The closing variation features only a 3-note synth chime, much in the manner of the sweep in the opening version.
Availability: This could still appear on a few Fremantle-produced shows during the '70's in Canada. Also, it has been seen on syndicated and international prints of Baywatch series from the first season (1989-1990).
Scare Factor: High; the creepy synth tune, sudden zoom, and outdated SFX can scare those unfamiliar with this logo
2nd Logo
(1990-2004)

Nickname: "Fremantle Satellite"
Logo: In space, we see a satellite. We cut to a shot of an astronaut apparently repairing it, then we cut to a shot of the back. The satellite fades away except for the metal panel (whatever it's called, I'm no expert on this stuff), which remains on the screen in front of a CGI representation of the Earth. The panel flips around to reveal a red rectangle with "FREMANTLE" on it.
FX: Mostly live action, but the panel animation is CGI.
Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare. In some cases, it included an echo voiceover saying "FREMANTLE!" to the end.
Availability: Extinct in America, but it has appeared on international prints of Home Movies, Ryan's Hope, and Baywatch from 1990-2001 seasons in Latin America and worldwide generally.
Scare Factor: Minimal; this logo is very majestic and fantastic. However, the echo voiceover can be very startling.
3rd Logo

Nicknames: "The Splotch", "Dismantle", "Fremangle", "Splotchmantle"
Logo: On a royalish-blue background, a splash of white paint flies through the air, going from left to right. Then, another splash is seen going the other direction, and then a third flying down from left to right. Then, white paint "bubbles" out in the center, then pulls back and to the right as the paint circles around to form the splotchy globe logo. The words "FremantleMedia", in condensed Futurist font, fade in to the left of the globe, as four white paint drops appear around the globe to complete the logo.
Variants:
FX/Cheesy Factor: Flying and bubbling paint; the text fading in; the design of the globe logo.
Music/Sounds: A gentle sounder with a guitar strum, bongos, and woodwinds. On the new season of The Price is Right, the in-credit logo is shown with the show's theme playing. CBS shows the short logo at the end of The Price is Right also, this time with generic guitar-driven CBS music. In other cases, it's silent. On "Baywatch", there is a low tone theme.
Availabilty: The short version with sounder is seen on the current version of Family Feud, the second season of Game Show Network's Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck, live editions of Fox's American Idol, CBS's online streams ofThe Price is Right, and ION's reruns of Baywatch. The long version appears on Whammy!'s first season with the show's theme playing over it.
CBS shows the short logo with the generic theme at the end of The Price is Right. Also, prerecorded editions of American Idol (i.e. preliminary auditions and second-round performance shows) have the generic Fox theme over the short version. The long version with sounder can be found on Temptation in syndication, ¿Que Dice la Gente? (the Spanish-language version of Family Feud) on Telefutura, and on DVD releases of American Idol, Match Game, Family Feud, and The Price is Right. The Australian version appears on post-2006 episodes of Neighbours and Temptation among other current series in Australia.
Scare Factor: Low; the sounder is actually relaxing, although some may be put off by the initial size of the paint bubble. For the still variant is none.

Logo: This is a superimposed variant of the current logo, consisting of the words "FremantleMedia", which it is in white, with the
"Splotch Bubble" in royal blue.
Trivia: This logo is used on the 36th and current season of The Price is Right.

- Opening: We zoom out on a black background with glittering lights (possibly representing space), as two copies of the word "FREMANTLE" (one yellow and the other red) fly from the right and left sides of the screen. As we stop zooming, the copies converge forming an orange "FREMANTLE" , which shines, and the yellow word "International" fades in at the bottom and flashes. After two seconds, the word "presents" fades in at the bottom. The stars in the continue twinkling for the logo's duration.
- Closing: There is a variant of this logo that appears at the end of programs. It features the phrase: "A FREMANTLE International presentation" on a plain black background. Spinning reflective lights begin to appear at random places on the text. a light crawls across "presentation" and disappears.

- Starting in the 36th season of The Price Is Right, the FremantleMedia logo can now be seen on credits, replacing the Mark Goodson Productions logo. FremantleMedia is in white, and the "Splotch Bubble" is royal blue. The logo is accompanied by the following announcement: "This is Rich Fields speaking for The Price is Right, a FremantleMedia production".
