Background: FXP, known as FX Productions until 2016, is the production arm of the FX and FXX networks. The name was changed to simply FXP in 2016.

Logo: On a black background, we see green arrows. Then a light ray appears, with a white bold reversed arrow. The arrows zoom in and we see the 1997-2007 FX logo with the words "PRODUCTIONS" and a copyright notice, then the logo zooms in.

FX/SFX: The zoom in.

Music/Sounds: Two echoed whooshes and clangs.

Availability: Only seen on early episodes of The Riches and Dirt.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo

FX Productions (2007) Full ScreenFX ProductionsFX Productions (2014)FX Productions (2015)

Nicknames: "THUD!", "The Banner", "The FX Banner"

Logo: On a black/grey background, a big white banner rises from below, emitting light and slowly panning left. It has two X-shaped cuts (resembling searchlights) on the top and reads "FX PRODUCTIONS". There is a small copyright line on the banner, reading "© [Year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved".

Variants:
  • Sometimes, copyright information is below the banner.
  • Starting in 2015, the logo was placed against a black marble background.

FX/SFX: The logo emitting light and panning. The animation still looks good as of today.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh and a clang.

Music/Sounds Variants:
  • On the season 5 premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, entitled "The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis", the logo's audio is high-pitched, along with the 3 Arts Entertainment, RCG, and FX logos.
  • On the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia episodes "How Mac Got Fat" and "The Gang Recycles Their Trash", it used the 2008 FX logo's music, due to a reverse plaster error.

Availability: Common. While no longer in use, it appeared on FX's original shows (from 2007 to 2016), as well as FXX's original shows (from 2013 to 2016). Seen on Damages, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, and many others. Also seen on FXX re-broadcasts of Da Ali G Show, as part of Ali G Rezurection. Also seen on the first 3 episodes of Baskets. This was used for 9 years, so it's a bit easy to find. Strangely, even when the FXP logo debuted, this logo could be seen on season 11 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Editor's Note: It should be noted that this was the only logo from FX that still had something relating to its former searchlights (which happened to be retired just as this logo was introduced). This was also the last logo to have the F and the X not connected, and continued to be used after that logo was introduced in 2013

FXP

(January 6, 2016- )

WARNING: Do not watch the video if you are prone to epilepsy.

Logo: On a black background, we see the FXP logo for a split-second (which consists of the 2013 FX logo but with a P added to the end), until we see another split-second shot, containing the same logo but zoomed in. After that, we cut to various clips, starting with black and white ink paints, then yellow-brown paint (slightly reminiscent of Coke), and later shattering ice on a black background. Then, we see ink splats on a flat surface with the FXP logo (covered in ink residue). We later cut to vibrating mercury liquid covering the "P", then cutting to the finished product, covered in mercury, with a copyright notice below, like the previous logos. Right after the mercury fills up the "P", we cut to the same shot from the first frame, then again with the mercury, and finally another close-up shot of the logo.

FX/SFX: Very well-done live-action and CGI animation combo.

Music/Sounds: A brief piano note at the beginning, with a string note being held throughout the entire logo.

Availability: Brand new. First seen on season 2 of Man Seeking Woman and appears on all of FX and FXX's original shows, as of 2016. Don't expect this to appear on season 11 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as it used the 2nd FX Productions logo instead.

Editor's Note: None.
