(1980's)
Nicknames: "efc", "Gold Letters"
Logo: On a space background, we see a gold bar zooming out to the middle of the screen (a la the MCA Videodisc logo), which reads "A PRODUCTION OF". It then disappears with an "e" flashing in, then an "f", with the line sticking down, then a "c". As all the letters flash in, the logo glows and shines.
FX: The animation in the logo.
Cheesy Factor: The computer effects are too cheesy, with the "A PRODUCTION OF" disappearing into "efc", as well as that music...
Music: A creepy synth tune with a "whoosh" as the bar sweeps up and 3 synth bells as the letters flash.
Availability: Seen on PBS programs, usually with the Annenberg/CPB logo.
Scare Factor: Medium to high; because of that cheesy animation and that creepy music, it can cause a few scares.
