Disney Channel Productions

1st Logo
(1997-2000)
Disney Channel (1997-2000)Disney Channel (1997-2000)Disney Channel Productions, the "Dancing Mickey" (1999-2000)
Disney Channel (So Weird, 1999)
Nickname: "Dancing Mickey"

Logo: Over a background of concentric circles coming from the center (and claymated), we see Mickey Mouse dancing inside the Disney Channel logo of the era (a black television set with Mickey Mouse ears at the top, with the white Disney logo inside and "CHANNEL" below). Sometimes, the white "In Association with" text is shown above. Also, the background pattern varies.

Variants:
  • For the later years, the website URL www.disney.com is shown below.
  • On the first two seasons of So Weird, the background is a blue aurora falling with white sparks and a purple aurora blurry ring.

FX: The clay background, Mickey Mouse dancing.

Music/Sounds: A ten-note jingle played on a xylophone or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Extinct on TV; appeared on Out of the Box, PB&J Otter, Amazing Animals, Rolie Polie Olie, and Mad Libs. None of these shows are currently reran (especially Mad Libs, which has long since faded into obscurity), as it was plastered over with the 2002 Disney Channel logo or the Playhouse Disney logo. The DVD release of Rolie Polie Olie: Olie's Winter Wonderland has this logo intact, however, so it's ultra rare. The So Weird variant is rare and short-lived because it was plastered over with the 3rd logo. Check your old tapes!

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo
(2000-2002)
Disney Channel Productions (2000-2002)
Nickname: "The Hip-Hop Logo"

Logo: Over a psychadelic purple background, we see "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" in white. It fades out as the Disney Channel logo from last time, in purple, zooms up. "Disney" pops out of the logo when it stops. Through the remainder, the logo shifts colors and patterns.

FX: The logo zooming up and changing colors.

Music/Sounds: Either the end theme of the show, or a hip-hop/rock jingle with a synthesized voice saying "Go! Go!" (or something like that).

Availability: Appears on pre-2002 episodes of Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens on WGN America. You'll be lucky to see it in it's glory there, as WGN obliterates the logos with their GSN like credits (at least they don't cut them off like GSN, though). Check your old tapes for the logo if you don't have WGN!

Scare Factor: None.

3rd Logo
(2002- )
Disney Channel (2002-)Disney Channel (2002-)
Nickname: "Shiny Mickey Head"

Logo: Over a black background, we see pixie dust flying to the top. It explodes and forms several Mickey Mouse head outlines, all of which fly towards the viewer, turning the background into a cloudy sky. A Mickey Mouse head outline flies to the bottom right, and turns into a blue outlined Disney Channel logo, filled with watery white coloring and the "Disney CHANNEL" text in black. A blue banner reading "ORIGINAL" in white pops up around the logo. The entire logo wobbles.

Variants:
  • There is a more commonplace short version starting with the wobble. The long version only appeared before shows and was retired in 2006.
  • On Life with Derek, "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is above the logo.

FX: All of the animation.

Music/Sounds: Several drumbeats, followed by a five note guitar theme. May also use the show's ending theme.

Music/Sound Variant: On Thats So Raven, we hear the last logo's music, except the "Yeah!" is extended.

Availability: Common; appears on every Disney Channel-produced show from 2002-present. It is also tacked onto the end of older non-Playhouse shows when they get reran. It also plasters over the 2000 Disney Channel logo on Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens (which both were currently aired on WGN America), while this logo has plastered over the 1999 Disney Channel logo on the first two seasons of So Weird (which is not currently airing on Disney Channel as of now). Still appears on brand new episodes of Disney Channel original shows, except for current Walt Disney Television Animation shows.

Scare Factor: None, unless you're scared of their really bad shows.

4th Logo
(2007- )

Nickname: TBA

Logo: TBA

Variants:
  • There is a prototype version of this logo that was only cut short. It was only seen on two Disney Channel original movies including High School Musical 2 and Twitches Too. However, this logo was "officially" debuted on January 25, 2008.
  • On the 2008 Disney Channel games, there is a widescreen version, with blue lines sandwiched on the left and right respectively. Plus, it disappears, causing the Disney copyright notice to appear.
  • In Disney Channel's latest original movie The Cheetah Girls: One World, there is a later variant of this logo in which the "ORIGINAL" banner is absent and just features the Disney Channel logo.

FX: TBA

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Can be seen on new episodes of Hannah Montana, among others.

Scare Factor: None.
