Debmar Studios
Background: Debmar Studios was formed in 2004 by Mort Marcus, a former senior syndication sales executive for Buena Vista Television (now Disney·ABC Domestic Television).
(2004-2006)
Nickname: "Leaping Leopard"
Logo: Several crystal-textured Copperplate letters with the Leopard logo reflected in them zoom in, revealing the words "DEBMAR STUDIOS" in the Copperplate font. There's a white flash as the movie negative with the leopard leaping out of it appears.
FX: Pretty much all the animation seen in this logo.
Music/Sounds: Several crystal chimes and a whoosh are heard as the letters are seen. A rather loud leopard's roar is heard when the logo appears (it's actually a stock sound effect, as it also turns up elsewhere).
Availability: Seen on reruns of South Park in local syndication.
Scare Factor: Medium; the leopard's roar is almost certain to throw some people off.

Mercury Entertainment
(2004-2006)
Logo: We see mountains, blue tinted. The text Mercury (with Entertainment below it in a small size) zooms out through some bars. It then stops in the center.
FX: The zooming and panning.
Music/Sounds: A whoosh then a clunk when the letters stop.
Availability: Seen on reruns of South Park in local syndication.
Scare Factor: None.

Debmar-Mercury
Background: Debmar-Mercury was a merger between Debmar Studios and Mercury Entertainment. The company was bought in July 2006 by Lions Gate Entertainment and became a wholly-owned subsidiary.
1st Logo
(Summer 2006-Fall 2006)
Nickname: "Leaping Leopard I"
Logo: On a white background, we have a movie negative with a leopard leaping halfway out of the negative. Above the logo in Cooperplate Gothic font says "DEBMAR-MERCURY".
FX: None. this is a still logo.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Common. Currently seen on reruns of Animal Atlas and Safari Tracks.
Scare Factor: None.
2nd Logo
(Fall 2006- )
Nickname: "Leaping Leopard II"
Logo: Same as the logo of Debmar Studios, but the logo reads "DEBMAR-MERCURY" instead of "DEBMAR STUDIOS" in the Copperplate font.
FX: Same as Debmar Studios.
Music/Sounds: Same as Debmar Studios.
Music/Sounds Variant: On September 22, 2008, there is a new different leopard roar.
Availability: Common. Seen on episodes of Family Feud with John O'Hurley from 2007 on and reruns of The Dead Zone on local syndication and ION Television, Farscape, Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Animal Atlas, and South Park in local syndication. This logo can also be seen after all Lionsgate owned movies on television. When G4 aired The Man Show, this logo appeared at the end.
Scare Factor: Same as Debmar Studios.
