Background: This was a short-lived television distribution arm of Columbia Pictures Television, established in 1987 under The Coca-Cola Company, the former owner of Columbia Pictures. It was folded into the reorganized Columbia Pictures Television after the establishment of Columbia Pictures Entertainment, Inc. (now Sony Pictures Entertainment). As of today, Sony Pictures Television distributes Punky Brewster in the United States, while NBC Universal Television Distribution owns the show and handles global rights. SPE also owns The Real Ghostbusters and Dinosaucers, while
Sylvanian Families is owned by Cookie Jar Entertainment. The status to Dennis the Menace: Dinosaur Hunter is currenly unknown as of right now. It's probably owned by either or both owned by Cookie Jar and/or Sony Pictures.

Nickname: "The Coke Box"

Logo: On a black background is a red box with the Coca-Cola "Dynamic Ribbon" in it outlined in black (the space under it is decorated with horizontal black lines). Under that is:

---------------------------------Coca-Cola---------------------------------
TELECOMMUNICATIONS

A unit of Coca-Cola TELEVISION
Exclusive Distributor

Variant:
There is a variant of this logo without the text ''Exclusive Distributor'' below.

FX/SFX: None, except you want to count in the fade in and fade out of the logo.

Music/Sounds: A light, synthesized 6-note tune, or none.

Music/Sounds Variants: Some series or TV specials would have the first note cut off, leaving 5 notes
remaining.

Availability: Originally seen on The Real Ghostbusters, Punky Brewster, and Dinosaucers, among other shows, as well on the TV movie of Dennis the Menace (a.k.a. Dennis the Menace: Dinosaur Hunter). The logo was plastered on USA and Fox Family Channel reruns of The Real Ghostbusters, as well as the more recent Sony and Time-Life DVD releases. Columbia reportedly put the 1987 Torch Lady at the end of Punky Brewster reruns when they were more common, and the logo was plastered by the 1992 Torch Lady on the Family Channel reruns and it hasn't been aired since. More recently, the logo was spotted on a bonus Sylvanian Families episode (after a 1990 Kid in Bed plaster!) on the UAV/Sterling Care Bears DVD To the Rescue (now out of print), and on the special Meet Julie on DiC's KEWL Cartoons website (which is no longer available through the site, but can still be accessed through their feed on Feedage.com)
. As for the Exclusive Distributor variant, it's extinct and was only seen on reruns of Punky Brewster. It may still be intact on a DVD release of the series.

Scare Factor: None to minimal; the theme is rather soothing.
