Background: C/FP Distribution was a Canadian distribution company which was owned by Cinexus and the Famous Players Corporation. Christian Larouche joined C/FP in the 1980's. C/FP used its first logo in 1982. In 1996, C/FP was changed to Cinépix Film Properties, Inc., the predecessor of the current Lions Gate Home Entertainment.

Nickname
: "The Leaf and Strips"

Logo: On a black-red background, we see a red-white flower leaf flowing around, as a white strips comes out from the bottom of
the screen and reaches toward. Then, the flower comes to place and pieces attach to write out C//FP. The sparks connects them together to create this:

(the C//FP logo)--C//FP
D I S T R I B U T I O N

The logo shines.

Variant: Some releases from 1994-1995 have an orange background instead of the black-red background. Those releases also don't have a spark in it.

FX/SFX: Everthing animated.

Cheesy Factor: The spark.

Music/Sounds: A wounded, boxy synth fanfare which ends calmly.

Availability: Seen on all C/FP releases from 1982 to 1996.

Scare Factor: None.

i thought it was famous players--the design matches famous players theatres' canadian leaf logo
and the stripes match their 1988 logo.
