Background: This was the predecessor of the current Lions Gate Home Entertainment.
(1996-1999)
Nickname: "Spinning CFP/Cinépix"
Logo: On a silver sky above, water below background (a la Atlantis Films), we see the sun setting down. Then, the silver words CFP (in the CFP corporate font) goes out of to the water to face us. Then it spins and changes into CiNEPIX (in the same font). Finally, «FILM PROPERTIES» (in a Times New Roman font) fades in underneath CiNEPIX at the right corner.
FX/SFX: All the CGI animation in it.
Cheesy Factor: The CFP getting out of the water.
Music/Sounds: A space tune with a saw-blade-like note as CFP goes out of the water, a 9-note piano tune as CFP changes into CiNEPIX and finally another saw-blade-like note as «FILM PROPERTIES» fades in.
Availability: Seen on all CFP Videos released with the sentence «DISTRIBUTED EXCLUSIVELY BY CFP etc...» on its spine, as well on theatrical releases of the era, such as Johnny Skidmarks, for example. This was not seen on the spine of C/FP Distribution releases.
Scare Factor: Minimal; it's a little twisty logo.
