Background: Children’s Video Library was Vestron's children's division.

(1983-1987)

Nickname: “Balloons”

Logo: On a black background, a 2D drawing of colored balloons swirls into place, a la the 1979 Hanna-Barbera logo. When the picture stops swirling, the text "Children’s Video Library" forms into place and shifts to the right. The words are colored yellow, but one-by-one, the words then turn red.

FX/SFX: The swirling in of the balloons and the words forming and changing color.

Music/Sounds: A cheery Irish-sounding tune played on a flute, chimes, bells (which start in sync with the words changing color) and bass synthesizer.

Music/Sounds Variant: There is a version with an announcer over the logo.

Availability: Can be seen on many CVL releases of the 1980s, such as Little Women, Babar Goes to America, and several Challenge of the Gobots releases. Surprisingly, it's intact (including its warning screen) on Hulu's print of The World of Strawberry Shortcake, and is also said to be intact on an EastWest Entertainment bootleg DVD of a film that was originally released on VHS by this company and retained on a Hulu print of Thanksgiving in the Land of Oz which was followed by the CBS Television Distribution logo.

Editor's Note: It's all typical 1970s animation, but a cute and kid-friendly looking logo.
