1st Logo (Mid 1980s-Early 1990s)
Nickname: "Creepy CVF"
Logo: On a very dark blue/black gradient background, we see an abstract "CVF", with a maple leaf inside the C, and colored pink. It zooms out very slowly, to the top, with a red color wiping from both sides of the logo, and when they meet in the center, a rather hard-to-see "CANADIAN VIDEO FACTORY" slides in below, which shines a couple of times. FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: Rather dated CGI.
Music/Sounds: A rising "WHOOSH" sound, then a loud "CRASH!", and then, some electronic beeps.
Availability: Seen on many Canadian tapes, often with a Nova Home Video logo coming after.
Scare Factor: High to NIGHTMARE; with the dated CGI, "connect-the-letters" logo, dark background, and creepy sounds, you'll want to see this logo with the lights on. Medium For the Canadian User Emini4
