Canadian Video Factory (Mid 1980s-Early 1990s)

Nickname: "Creepy CVF"

Logo: On a very dark blue/black gradient background, we see an abstract "CVF", with the maple leaf icon (that you see on the Canada flag) inside the C, and colored light pink. It zooms out very slowly, to the top, with a red color wiping from both sides of the logo, and when they meet in the center, a rather hard-to-see "CANADIAN VIDEO FACTORY" (in cadet gray) slides in below, which shines a couple of times.

FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor
: Rather dated CGI and 2D effects with fair accuracy.

Music/Sounds: A rising "WHOOSH" sound, then a loud "CRASH!" (like a vase breaking) , and then, some electronic beeps.

Availability: Seen on many Canadian tapes, often with a Nova Home Video logo coming after.

Scare Factor: High to NIGHTMARE; with the dated CGI, "connect-the-letters" logo, dark background, and creepy sounds, you'll want to see this logo with the lights on.
