Bristol Bay Productions
1st Logo
(1995- )
Note: From 1995 to 2004, it was called BRISTOL BAY HOME VIDEO to release
videos. This company is the sister of Walden Media. Its headquarters is located in Los Angeles.
Nicknames: "Northern Lights", "The Silhouette of the Wolf"
Logo: We zoom through the trees into a silhouette scenery (except the lake) with the northern lights with the wolf standing on the rock, with a computer generated lake with the reflection the scenery. As the camera stops zooming, the wolf turns his head right, the northern lights turn into a tornado and then the words "BRISTOL BAY PRODUCTIONS" appear. Eventually from 1995 to 2004, the words "HOME VIDEO" appears under the studio's name.
Variants: In Sahara, There was a coin flipping in the logo. As of April 2008, The Bristol Bay Television logo is born with the same as the 1995 logo.
FX/Cheesy Factor: The silhouette scenery, the wolf, and great looking computer animation.
Music/Sounds: Silent in the films (expect Sahara). The home video logo has a fantasy-oriented synthesizer fanfare.
Availability: Seen on releases from Bristol Bay (the first releases were on video until 2004 when they changed "HOME VIDEO" to "PRODUCTIONS", to release their first film, Ray).
Scare Factor: None, It's another one of my favorite logos. Also the coin flipping variant and the northern lights turning into a tornado would think the world was ending.
