Background: Black Ops Entertainment is a video game company based in Santa Monica, CA founded in 1994 by four MIT graduates. Most games they made are from the action and sports genres. The company has been inactive since 2006.


1st Logo
(November 2, 1995)

Logo: A still picture of a soldier in the jungle with red skies. The soldier has a helmet and goggles and appears to be shouting in the air with a raised fist. The reflection of fighter jets are seen in his visor. In front of the picture is

FX/SFX: It's a still logo.

2nd Logo
(1997-2004?)


<embed align="right" allowfullscreen="true" height="207" src="http://wikifoundrytools.com/wiki/closinglogos/widget/youtubevideo/89945ddc09d28fd0efeba00848bc6b3017b3d7d7" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="252" wmode="transparent"/>Logo: On a black background, the words "BLACK OPS" and "ENTERTAINMENT" (in silver 3-D Stencil font) fly in from the top and bottom and meet in the upper part of the screen. A light flashes behind the logo and as it gets bigger, the words explode into tiny pieces and emitting sparks. The sparks die down as the logo fades away.

FX/SFX
: The flying words, the flash, the company name exploding.

Music/Sounds
: A low humming which stops with a "THUD" when the words meet, then the sound of an engulfing fireball is heard then the explosion, which leaves a sound that trails off as the logo fades out.

Availability
: Seen on a handful of games such as Black Dawn, Tomorrow Never Dies, Warpath: Jurassic Park and The World is Not Enough for the PlayStation and on Fugitive Hunter: War on Terror (and its European counterpart America's 10 Most Wanted) on the PS2.

3rd Logo
(October 3, 1999)

Logo: On a black background is a silver rectangle with a black "BLACK OPS" (like before, in Stencil) and below that is a black line with "entertainment" inside. The logo has a shining effect on the upper right of the rectangle.

FX/SFX: It's a still logo.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Knockout Kings 2000 for the Nintendo 64.
