Background: This is the vanity card of Bryan Singer made for House on FOX.

1st Logo
(2004- 2012)

bad hat harry productions

Nicknames: "Beach Boys", "That's Some Bad Hat, Harry"

Logo: Cartoon animation; we see one man sitting on a cooler, the other on a beach chair, both in beach attire. The text "BAD HAT HARRY PRODUCTIONS", in black, is at the top of the screen. The man on the left (presumably Harry) is wearing a rather silly aviator-type hat. The man on the right leans over a bit, towards Harry, and says "That's some bad hat, Harry."

Trivia: The quote "That's some bad hat, Harry." was taken from the 1975 film Jaws. That's why there is a shark fin in the background. This was animated at Angry Alien Productions.

FX/SFX: A slight animation when the man on the right leans. The entire logo was animated in Adobe Flash.

Music/Sounds: The man saying "That's some bad hat, Harry."

Availability: Appears after Housein syndication and on USA Network.

Scare Factor: None; it is considered a humorous logo.

2nd Logo
(2011-)
Bad Hat Harry (2011)Bad Hat Harry (2013)

Nicknames: "The Staff", "The Usual Suspects Logo"

Logo: There are silhouettes of five people walking into and settling in front of the background screen consisting of horizontal white lines. After they take places, the logo becomes glossy with the white screen turning red. The people and background turn black, and as the logo zooms out, there come the words, "BAD HAT HARRY" in the same red color below. The picture keeps itself lustrous and wet because of the rainfall as there are waterdrops coming down the logo.

Variant: On the Blu-ray release of Jack the Giant Slayer, the long version was introduced, starting from the walking feet. The usual people are replaced with brutal silhouettes of movie characters.

Trivia: This, like the previous logo, is a homage to a film, namely, one of the most notable scenes from Singer's breakthrough film, The Usual Suspects. This logo was made by Prologue.

FX/SFX: Simple color effects, and water together with the people moving, obviously derived from the live animation.

Music/Sounds: None for X-Men. For Jack the Giant Slayer, deep majestic soundtrack plays over the whole logo set, starting with Warner Bros shield.

Availability: Appears in the opening of X-Men: First Class
and Jack the Giant Slayer and more recently X-Men Days Of Futures Past. A shortened version can be seen on H+: The Digital Series.

Scare Factor: None to low; low for the TV variant.

According to TV Tropes (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VanityPlate):

"A new version of the logo appeared before X-Men: First Class with the lineup from The Usual Suspects."

Could someone verify?
