The word ACTIVISION is written in custom font with V horns expanded to the top. The rainbow is attached to the left side of A.

The still version comes untamed from the very early years of existence. The word ACTIVISION is seen with V horns expanded over the top.

Availability:
This logo is used in several variations for SNES, Genesis, GameBoy, NDS and other small platforms.

3rd Logo
(1995-1997)

Logo:
The Activision logo made of stone (and tilted a bit) hangs above the water surface. There are clouds in background.

FX/SFX: TBA.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Seen on Activision's earlier Saturn and PSX games. Also can be seen on PC ports of Earthworm Jim and Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure.

4th Logo

Logo:
The Activision logo in blue is attached to a decorated grey-and-blue pattern.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability:
Seen on HyperBlade.

5th Logo
(1997-2001)

Logo:
We see something blasting its way through the black background. The pieces are being beaten out, and light emits through the holes. Then the screen is cleared and the Activision logo is shown. It glows with the blue light, then disappears via the TV power-off effect.

FX/SFX: The pieces are blasted off, the light and the power-off effect.

Music/Sounds: An ascending synth note, ending with a electric power-off.

Variants:
  • There's a version with animation more "computerized" and the power-off effect is different.
  • On Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force, the logo hangs in space and the spaceship blows it to ashes.

Availability:
Seen on PSX and PC games during the era. For example, it can be found on Dark Reign 2. Also can be seen on Dreamcast games and early PS2 games as welll.

Scare Factor: Low.


6th Logo
(2001-)

Logo:
Many letters fly in a black background, spinning quickly around the V. They blast into ACTIVISION, made in familiar font. The logo shines at the moment when it's formed. Then it fades out.

FX/SFX: Flying letters.

Music/Sounds: Many swirling and whooshing sounds, followed by a deep bang.

Variants: There is a still version, as well as the color inverted version.

Availability:
Very common. You can found it on Magadascar, Call of Duty and Spider-Man series, as well as on many other games.

Scare Factor: Low.
