The DVD release of "Halls of Montezuma" also had the color 1935 logo plastered over with the 1982 logo, but also kept the original 1935 fanfare. The DVDs of "Wizards" and "Alien" had the 1953 logo plastered over with the 1982 logo, with the short 1982 fanfare.

I'm guessing this is a judgment call on TCF's part for each individual movie. Some films such as SILVER STREAK and WORKING GIRL have a completely silent logo. There are two variations for BILL COSBY-HIMSELF. One is silent, with no music for the title scene, and the other has the short (non-Cinemascope) fanfare, with music for the opening credits. There seems to be no real rhyme or reason to these variations, although I could very well be wrong.
