Logo: On a blue background, we see the familiar green "Jim Henson" script logo writing itself at an angle. Below it, the word "VIDEO" in spaced out letters, fades in underneath, with a red line above it.

Variant: There is a still variant of this logo that features the words "
DISTRIBUTED BY BUENA VISTA HOME VIDEO" appearing at the bottom of the screen. This can be found on early 1993 tapes that have the off-center variant of the 1989 Jim Henson Productions logo before the presentation of a video and after the "Available on Jim Henson Records" bumper. In the UK, this variant was spotted on the Muppet Babies tapes as they were taken from the United States copies of these videos.

Trailer Variant: On the coming soon version of the Muppet Sing-Alongs: Billy Bunny's Animal Songs trailer, the "Coming This Summer" byline appears below the still logo.

FX/SFX: The Jim Henson logo "writing" and "VIDEO" signing in.

Music/Sounds: A somewhat slowed-down variant of the 1992 Walt Disney Home Video theme.

Music/Sounds Variant: On VHS releases of Muppet Babies, the same custom music used for the Henson Associates logo is used.

Availability: Appears on Jim Henson releases distributed by Buena Vista Home Video. The original VHS of The Muppet Christmas Carol does not contain this logo (It was released under the regular Walt Disney branding), aside from a still image on one of the trailers on the tape. It was also seen on the promotional video for Jim Henson Video on the demo VHS tape of The Muppet Movie.

Logo
:
It's the ending part of the 1989 Jim Henson Productions logo with the words already swept out starting with the"dot the I" part, but only "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" replaces "PRODUCTIONS".

Trailer Variant: On some trailers like The Muppets Take Manhattan, the logo zooms in without the line below the signature and with white coloring.

Variant: Sometimes, the copyright notice appears under the logo.

FX/SFX: Same as the 5th Jim Henson logo.

Music/Sounds
: Same as the 5th Jim Henson logo, but the music is never used.

Availability: Seen on Columbia TriStar-distributed releases of Jim Henson material, likeBear in the Big Blue House, the Columbia TriStar reprints of
Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper (which previously featured the long version of this logo with "PRODUCTIONS" in place on Jim Henson Video VHS releases), The Muppet Show and The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss. DVD releases of The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper use the 2nd Jim Henson Pictures logo. It can also be seen on the first trailer for Kermit's Swamp Years.

Nickname: "Star Writing", "The Forest", "The Logo At The Beginning of Kermit's Swamp Years"

Logo: We see a river scene in a forest at sunset for a second and then pan up to a space background, here, the mint colored spark draws the words "Jim Henson" in it's similar signature font and a comet creates the dot above "i". Then, "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" appears flashing in on below the line.

Trivia: The forest scene might have been shot at Naples, Florida for Kermit's Swamp Years. In fact, the movie itself uses the same forest as well.

FX/SFX: The words drawing, and the comet. The logo is somewhat reminiscent of the 1998 Lyrick Studios logo.

Variants:
  • On the demo tape of Kermit's Swamp Years, the logo starts with the complete version of the music by itself after the blue FBI Warning that popped up the 2nd time after the 9th Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment logo.
  • There is a version of this logo where the view of the swamp is longer before panning up to the sky and the spark draws the words in red coloring instead of green. The dot color created above the "i" by the comet was also re-colored in red.
  • On the video game Muppets Cruise Party, the background is darker than normal and the visual quality is lower. The logo fades in at the point the spark draws the words. Since this variant was taken from Kermit's Swamp Years, you could hear the end of theColumbia Tristar Home Entertainmentlogo music at the beginning.
  • An in-credit version with everything white appears on Bear in the Big Blue House Live!.

Music/Sounds: A sped-up version of the Jim Henson Interactive music, with some more jingles at the end.

Music/Sounds Variant: The logo's music is high pitched on the UK VHS of Kermit's Swamp Years.

Availability: Seen on later-Columbia TriStar and HiT Entertainment releases of Jim Henson material, It appears onKermit's Swamp Years on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray (which was released to Germany only). Also appears on later VHS and DVD releases of Bear in the Big Blue House as well including the home video Bear in the Big Blue House LIVE!. The red text coloring variant can be seen on the Frances home video compilation Bedtime for Frances released in March 31, 2009. This logo is shown before the Frances opening theme song on this compilation. It is also seen after the credits and before the 2006 HiT Entertainment logo albeit the white balance for the logo is re-adjusted. On the DVD packaged in the DVD & Book collection of the title, the logo can only be seen on the main movie title of the disc when either "Auto Play" is selected in HiT Entertainment's DVD Auto Play menu or the "Play All" button in the main menu of the disc title has been selected.
