Logo captures by Eric S.

1st Logo
(1987-1995)

Gaumont Télévision
Nicknames: "The Marble", "The Gray Marble", "The Ripples"

Logo: On a
dark gray marble BG, we see the Gaumont Télévision logo, with "Gaumont" written in red in its corporate font, "Télévision" written in gray in a fancy sans serif font, and a thick gray line below it. The logo "ripples" once.

Variants:
  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • On Highlander: The Series (animated version), a screen of rippling and swirling blue waves ( part of the closing credits ) crossfades into the Gaumont Télévision logo, which animates as usual, then fades to the blue waves again.

FX/SFX
: The "rippling".

Music/Sounds: A dreamy synth tune, or the ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on '80s and '90s TV shows produced by Gaumont, such as Highlander: The Series (both live-action and animated). The live action series is currently seen on Syfy.

Editor's Note: This logo might remind some of the 3rdLorimar Televisionlogo, although this logo predates it by about a year!

2nd Logo
(1995-2001)

Gaumont Télévision (1995) (16:9-HD)Gaumont Télévision (1995)

Nicknames: "The Daisy", "Space Daisy", "Big, BIG! Daisy"

Logo: On a space background, we see a extremely zoomed-in shot of the then-current Gaumont red daisy logo. Under is "Gaumont" in the same color of the daisy, and
"Télévision", but in white.

Variant: Sometimes the tail end of the standard movie logo of the time is played instead.

FX/SFX: None; it's a still logo.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on their shows produced from 1995 to 2001, such as Relic Hunter.

Editor's Note: None.
