Background: Morris Video was a film distributor located in Redondo Beach, California. Morris Video was founded in the early 1980s by George and Dawn Morris. The company released a wide variety of instructional films on VHS and Beta.
(1984-1990s)
Logo: On a black background, we see several purple/blue/pink lines appearing up and down, forming a TV tube shape (similar to the Qintex logo) with an M inside it. Then, a gold streak/ribbon wraps around the M, making the letter the script letter V and causing the logo to resemble the old Windows Live service icons."MORRIS VIDEO" in Retro Stereo Wide font, colored blue-purple, appears below and glows brightly. The whole thing zooms out and dissolves away.
FX/SFX: The TV tube forming, the dissolving effect. It's pretty nice animation for 1984.
Music/Sounds: A creaking synth bass with a whoosh followed by an announcer saying "Morris Video" in a deformed voice.
Availability: Can be seen on Morris Video releases of children's material and instructional videos, such as Super Bowling.
