On the 2003 DVD release of 'The Gumball Rally' after the 1984 WB shield plastering the 1972 logo I saw a some still text that read 'A First Artists Release' in a font not similar to the movie. Does that count as a logo or is it in-credit text?

"Pee-Wee's" 1984 shield?

On the 2000 DVD of 1985's "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure", the film opens with the WB shield, only it's the 1992 Time Warner Entertainment variant (also, the Netflix print has the 2003 logo at the beginning, though both this and the DVD retain the opening music that plays over the opening credits). The funny thing is that near the end of said film, when WB makes Pee-Wee's adventure into a movie, the "presents" variant of the '84 shield was shown at the start (really funny poke at the film industry, btw). Anyways, is that what was originally at the start of "Pee-Wee"?

"I mean the "Uh" sound." a.k.a. Cartoon was my favourite logo, and they need to bring back EEnE and re-produce the company, not make EEnEBPS the last one! Fun Fact: EEnEBPS stands for Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show.

I have these tapes: Rugrats Discover America, All Grown Up!: Lucky 13, The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald, The Rugrats Movie, The Wild Thornberrys Movie (On DVD. It's my sister's DVD) and Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. I do not watch the credits anymore at the end. One time, I finished Rugrats in Paris. I noticed "Oh! The robot is going to kill me!". So I went out of my room and shut the door, plugging my ears, with my eyes closed. When I thought the logo was done, I went into my room again. I saw a music video for "Who Let the Dogs Out?". I pressed stop, then rewound the tape (Luckily I didn't rewind to the Robot) to the very beginning. Same thing with my Rugrats tape. When it gets to the credits, I pressed stop, then rewind. When I first saw it (I was 4, I was watching an episode of Rugrats in Feburary 26, 2004) I screamed. I cried then ran up to my mom. I did not want to rewind it (Thank gosh we didn't have Dish Network back then) because my mom would scream, too. So, I wish they would STOP using that drunk blob. Let's boycott it!!!!

Variant: On Nickelodeon's Mega Music Fest, we see a stack of shoes, mostly focusing on some burnt out ones. Then, creepily, the words "BOB BAIN PRODUCTIONS" zoom up. Scare Factor: None for the regular variant, but medium for the variant with the shoes. The creepy zoom up could scare more than a few.

I was thinking, do you think it would be a neat idea to do a CLG Wiki promo featuring PBS station logos (maybe including some rare ones that are hard to find) and the network IDs?

The "stock sports footage" seen here is actually sourced and edited from the 1972 ABC Wide World Of Sports opener! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WvhviqvQ0o&fmt=18) How they could legally do this beats me! Based on the cheapness of the logo, who knows.
Based on the clip given, its hard to tell what context the WWoS footage was used in.

"Same happens to me: Gabkat2007 never rgives me a response." The only other alternatives are to wait for someone to post it onto YouTube, or, just like Logophile, find a VHS/Betamax/LaserDisc/DVD (unlikely)/whatever with the prototype variant on it.

I have spotted the new Cartoon Network Studios logo at the end of Regular Show.
It features three white squares forming a diagonal line and a fourth square shows the animation of probably the characters of the show.
Under the logo is the words "Cartoon Network Studios" Please tell me what you think of it if you like.

Viacom with a Silver Suited Man?

I seem to have this VERY vivid memory of what I am almost CERTAIN was a viacom opening animation from a movie or movies when I was a kid. I just remember being entranced by the animation (even watched it repeatedly sometimes...weird...even as a kid it just fascinated me)....But the animation I'm thinking of doesn't seem to be mentioned or even alluded to in any discussion of vintage Viacom stuff. Here's what I remember....maybe it will trigger/ring a bell for somenoe? Would love to find a clip of it.
I remember it was the word VIACOM on the screen. I think it was similar in style to the "wigga wigga" font style...I don't remember if there was music or not, and I don't remember if there was a vocal/spoken portion of the animation...here are the other really vivid mental pictures.... -The logo may have been on a gradient background...I believe it may have been a rich red...fading up or down to pitch black either at the top or bottom of the screen. -I DISTINCTLY remember the logo appearing on screen and THEN a SILVER SUITED MALE FIGURE...almost CHROME LIKE...literally "landing" on the top of the typeface logo. He would come in (or fade in?) and then slowly squat down on the top of the logo...and then look up at the viewer. He had a spider man appeal...yet he was an entirely shiny/metallic/suited man..with few features, but complete human body shape. I seem to remember his eyes maybe being visible.
does ANYONE have any clue? It is possible it might not even be Viacom...but that's what I've always remember it as....hope someone can offer some help! It's been buggin me for years!
Cheers!

There was an older WHYY opener, from back in the 70's. It stars the Liberty Bell (a cutout), chiming loudly, moving to the left, and revealing red, white and blue stars. to form a black "FROM" in a plain font, and "WHYY" in a bolder font below it - all on the right side of the screen. The chimes from the bell are the jingle. I discovered it on a tape I checked out of the library of rock concert from then.
